Vesper Racing Team

Vesper is building a year-round racing squad to be one of the most competitive and successful teams in the United States. Our mission is to give the ambitious, post collegiate rower opportunities to race, to train, to belong to a community of like-minded athletes, and to contribute to Vesper’s rich history.  Our goal is for our athletes to get faster, get stronger, and have fun crossing the finish line first.  

Individuals interested in applying for the program should have competitive college racing experience as well as competitive erg scores.  A desire to train and to compete on a team as well as contribute to a rich boathouse culture is also a must.  In order for every athlete to reach their potential while contributing to the team’s success, if accepted into the program, Vesper will provide access to equipment, physiological testing, and regular coaching.  

2023 Summer Racing Information

If you are interested in applying for this summer's Vesper racing program, the deadline for applying is June 5th, 2023.   We have rolling admissions with start dates of 5/22, 5/29, 6/5 and 6/12.

The cost, which covers coaching, lactate testing, entry fees and hotels, is $880.

There will be 10-11 sessions per week.   4 mornings will be coached, afternoons will be on-your-own to cross-train/lift.

We will be racing Schuylkill Navy Regatta, Independence Day Regatta, US Summer Nationals and Canadian Henley.
