The Vesper Boat Club 2023 election process has begun. Our elections happen in two steps, the first being the Call for Nominations whereby Members nominate fellow members (including themselves) for officer or director leadership positions. The second step is the Election itself whereby those positions are filled. Positions are formally seated for their one (officers) or two (director) year term at the Membership Meeting which typically coincides with the annual banquet (but not always).
Per our Bylaws, to vote in our elections you must be a Life Member or Full/VIP/Family Member for at least two years and in Good Standing. Family Members are eligible for two (2) votes.
We are again using Election Buddy to facilitate our elections. The Call for Nominations is now closed as of midnight Sunday January 15th.
We are currently contacting all eligible nominees to ask if they will serve if elected. If they decline or cannot be reached prior to January 19th they will not be listed as a candidate in the Election.
We expect the Election to commence on or about January 20th. Notification will be here and via the newsletter.
