Head of the Schuylkill

Scott Wisniewski writes:

Truncated racing went well [at the Head of the Schuylkill] again this weekend. Vesper finished top 3 in nearly every event it competed in; finishing 1st and 2nd in the light women’s 1x (Bryn Crawford, Mary Jones), 2nd in the light men’s 1x (Dan Scholz), and 1st by a huge margin in the Open Women’s 4+ (Grace Latz, Vicky Opitz, Sydney Axson, Nicole Ritchie, Sam McDonald). This boat, happily did not lose a race all fall and has been a breath of fresh air for our open women’s program winning Navy Day, Head of the Charles and HOSR with their smallest winning margin over any non-Vesper Boat being over 12 seconds (our Vesper light women finished within 9 seconds of them at Navy Day).

The team rolls on and will race in Princeton [at the USRowing Fall Speed Order] in two weekends–their last race of the fall season.
