Vesper’s Tom Peszek and Yohann Rigogne Row to Silver

Sarasota, FL — In a ripping tailwind, the USA M8+ with Yohann Rigogne in 2 seat, and Tom Peszek in 5 set finished behind the Germans, in a close and exciting final of the 2017 FISA World Rowing Championships.

Germany led the race, with little separation between 2nd and 6th places going through the half-way mark.

New Zealand pressed out, getting nearly 6 seats lead on the United States, but it was not to last.

Coming into the last quarter, with Germany still leading the United States shifted up, and moved out on the Kiwis who were left to duel the bronze position out with the Italians.
